PRESS RELEASE

Paris, France. 2017. Upon the completion of the 2016/17 French Ligue 2 season, Paris' second oldest club, Red Star Football Club, finished 19th and were relegated to to the French Third Division. Seeing great potential in the club, Heineken International CEO Jean-François van Boxmeer invested in the club. And thus, the birth of Heineken Red Star FC.

Following a long spell in the bottom divisions of French football, Jean-François van Boxmeer made it very clear his intentions to the footballing world; add a sports dynasty to the already massive Heineken International profile. To do this, he turned to 25 year old untested manager, FM Peels.

Upon appointing Peels as manager, van Boxmeer's agreed to the following vision:

Club Main Objective:

- Gain promotion to Ligue 1, sustain position within the league, and become a continuous European qualifier within France.

Ownership Main Objective:

- Following the establishment of Heineken Red Star FC in French football, acquire and establish Heineken-owned team within another major league within world football, on a slightly lower stature (Holland, Portugal, Scotland, USA) in order to expand brand dominance. Once a second team has gained stability alongside Red Star FC of France, further incorporate into world football (Germany, Italy, Spain, England).

Player Signing/Tactical Philosophy:

- Players signed will not exceed 23 years of age.

- Before signing a new player, analysis of current youth prospects must first occur.

- All teams/players will fall under the Heineken brand (in the same sense as Red Bull with Leipzig, Salzburg, and New York)

- Style of play will be attacking and possession based.

Current Goals (potential to add/alter throughout story):

- Win Ligue 1

- Win Champions League

- Club record fee sold to exceed $50,000,000 USD

- Club record fee sold to exceed $100,000,000 USD

- Ligue 1 Top Scorer (individual player)

- Ligue 1 Top Scorer (team total)

- Ligue 1 Top Goals Per Game average

- Ligue 1 Top Clean Sheets

- Ligue 1 Best XI players (minimum 2 in same season)

With an ambitious owner, a hungry manager, and lofty expectations, FM Peels leaves his native USA to create a name not only for Heineken Red Star FC, but himself as well. Follow along @RattledCrossbar for frequent updates!
