Heading into 2020, the fixture list was looking awfully red. As you can see below, the team was struggling for points, and things needed to change if we were to achieve our goal of a mid-table finish.

Literally out of nowhere, we began a roll of results. The only thing I changed was my focus on team cohesion. When the players began to gel more, the results followed. Also, the introduction of Camara as a regular starter in the side sparked the side with pace and deadly crossing in the final third. I would be lying if I said we were winning games because we had the top, lock-down defense in Ligue 2.

Saying that, and then looking at our results, we actually pulled out quite a few clean sheets to end the season. One thing was clear as we ended the season; we needed to strengthen in the back. That mainly meant our fullbacks and our keeper.
Best XI and Awards

The usual suspects up front and in the midfield. If I am honest, after integrating Camara into the first team and seeing how much success we had following, I am remembering one of the biggest aims with this save. Internal youth development. Looking ahead to next year, I can see Thomas to be a big addition from the youth/reserve ranks to our midfield rotation. That being said, Sy, Ferreira, and Renot would be our biggest replacement targets for the 2020/21 campaign.

Once again, no shocks when it comes to the fan awards. Even the fans know the impact that Camara has brought to the team(may need to invest in a jersey of his IRL). Signing someone for $48k and making them a regular starter, no wonder Houri was voted signing of the season.

Now for the numbers. With the stats dominated once again by Camara, Bamba reigned as the clubs leader goalscorer for the season. The most surprising stat, personally, is the inclusion of Ferreira with most POTM awards. Finally, Sy shows why we must improve in both fullback positions.

RC Lens SWEPT the entire back line. Lefebvre, implimented as a BBM in our system, was selected as the leagues best DM, which was bizarre. Personally, I thought Houri deserved a shout as well.
FINAL LEAGUE TABLE

We finished right in line with our own expectations. The board expected us to avoid relegation, and we far exceeded that. As a club, we are beginning to grow the season ticket base, as well as gain more of a foothold financially.
Before next season's midway point update, I will be trying out a short season preview to see how people like having a base for the season to start with.
